What is a ticket type?

Ticket Types are set by the organiser. They are applied to the guest, when the guest arrives at the door and is checked-in, the system will know how much to charge them based on the ticket type you assign.

What is a live ticket type?

A live ticket type is based on a dynamic set of rules. An example of a live ticket type is ‘Free Before 10:00pm, $20 after’. You will be able to see this ruling clearly in the ticket type.

Why is it important that every guest is assigned a ticket type?

A guest must have a ticket type applied so that the door knows what to charge the guest when they arrive. It doesn’t matter if it is free or paid, they must have a ticket type. You are unable to invite guests without assigning a ticket type.

What are promoter limits?

The organiser can set limits on how many of each ticket type you are allowed to add. Typically, you would expect to see no limit on paid ticket types, but restrictions/limits set on how many free tickets you can invite.

Within Event Mode, on a particular event, your limits appear here:

In this image, you can see the promoter has been assigned 0 free tickets, unlimited GA $20 tickets and unlimited Entry $1 tickets. If you can only see how many are used, this means there is no limit on the particular ticket type.
